Wednesday Campanella’s latest song, “Moving Point P,” is set for digital release on December 9 (Monday). Written by Kenmochi Hidefumi, the track serves as the theme song for episode 7 of the live-action drama Oshi no Ko. The song conceptually aligns with the experiences and emotions of the characters Aqua and Akane in the show, drawing inspiration from “moving points P and Q” commonly found in math problems. The song’s message encourages listeners to break free from past influences and live without constraints.
The cover art for the song was designed by naka renya, known for their work on character illustrations for NCT WISH’s Steady mini-album and designs for Wednesday Campanella’s “Ghost and Writer” album and “LETS PARTY 4” tour merchandise. The cover features playful depictions of “point P” characters scattered across graph paper, creating an endearing aesthetic.
Fans will get their first listen to the full version of “Moving Point P” on December 7 (Saturday) at 24:00 during MASSIVE HISTORIA, a regular J-WAVE show hosted by Uta from Wednesday Campanella.
Oshi no Ko is a live-action drama and film adaptation based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, which began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in 2020. The story follows Aqua and Ruby, twins reincarnated as the children of the legendary idol Ai, who was part of the first “B Komachi.” As they navigate the entertainment world, Aqua is driven by a mission to uncover the truth behind Ai’s death. The eight-episode series has gained attention for featuring a different artist for each episode’s theme song. Episodes 1 to 6 premiered on Amazon Prime Video starting November 28 (Thursday) at 21:00, and episode 7, featuring “Moving Point P,” along with the final episode 8, were released on December 5 (Thursday) at 21:00.
