The third lineup of artists and stage information for the upcoming rockin’ on sonic festival has been revealed. This new Western music festival will take place on January 4 (Saturday) and 5 (Sunday), 2025, at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba.
Organized by Rockin’ On Japan, the same team behind the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL, and produced by CreativeMan, known for SUMMER SONIC, the festival has already announced ten acts, including PULP, WEEZER, Manic Street Preachers, The Lemon Twigs, St. Vincent, and Jimmy Eat World.
The latest additions to the lineup include four new acts. On January 4 (Saturday), the rock band Friendly Fires will mark the 15th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, released in 2008, alongside UK rock band The Snuts, whose solo concert in Japan for 2024 sold out. On January 5 (Sunday), dream pop band Cigarettes After Sex, renowned for selling out arena venues in North America and Europe, will take the stage, along with MONOBLOC, a rising band from New York that Rockin’ On and CreativeMan are supporting.
Additionally, the artist schedules for both the “GALAXY STAGE” and “COSMO STAGE” have been disclosed. Tickets are currently available for general sale.
