Sakanaction will launch their nationwide hall tour “SAKANAQUARIUM 2025 ‘Kaiju'” starting in January 2025, featuring 34 performances across 17 venues.
Following frontman Ichiro Yamaguchi’s battle with depression, Sakanaction made a full comeback in 2024 with their national arena tour “SAKANAQUARIUM 2024 ‘turn’.” In October, they released a new song titled “Kaiju,” which serves as the theme song for the ongoing NHK anime “Chi. -About the Movement of the Earth-.”
This hall tour, named after their new song, marks the band’s first tour in about five years since the interruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which halted their 2020 tour “SAKANAQUARIUM 2020 ‘834.194 Light'” and the cancellation of all shows for the planned “SAKANAQUARIUM Adapt Naked” in 2022 due to Yamaguchi’s rest.
The tour will kick off on January 25 at Kanagawa’s Sagami Women’s University Green Hall and will travel through Yamanashi, Ishikawa, Gunma, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Kagawa, Osaka, Hyogo, Iwate, Yamagata, Hokkaido, Hiroshima, Aichi, and Kyoto, concluding with a performance at the Tokyo Garden Theater.
Alongside the tour announcement, a pre-sale lottery for tickets exclusively for members of Sakanaction’s fan club, NF, began on October 18 at 6 PM.
