Sakanaction will perform at “SONICMANIA” on Friday, August 16 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
SONICMANIA is an event held on the eve of “SUMMER SONIC 2024” on August 17 (Sat.) and 18 (Sun.) at ZOZO Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Chiba and Banpaku Kinen Koen in Suita, Osaka. The event will be held all night from the eve of “SUMMER SONIC” with an electro sound as its core. In the first phase, eight groups from Japan and abroad were announced to perform, including Underworld, Phoenix, Major Lazer, Arca, Nia Archives, Young Fathers, Hakushi Hasegawa, and Shintaro Sakamoto.
Sakanaction has newly been confirmed to perform in band form. Due to Ichiro Yamaguchi’s health condition, many of their live appearances have been postponed since 2022, but Sakanaction will perform with their full lineup. On April 20 (Sat), they will begin their first nationwide tour in two years, “SAKANAQUARIUM 2024 ‘turn’,” which heralds their “complete revival.
