The complete lineup and schedule for the upcoming Ryuichi Sakamoto tribute festival, “RADIO SAKAMOTO Uday -NEW CONTEXT FES × DIG SHIBUYA-,” to be held on February 10 (Monday) in Shibuya, Tokyo, have been officially announced.
This special one-night event serves as a tribute to the legendary artist, hosted as part of the long-running J-WAVE radio program “RADIO SAKAMOTO,” which Sakamoto guided from 2003 to 2023. The festival will feature performances from artists with strong connections to Sakamoto, spread across three adjacent venues: Spotify O-EAST, Higashimaya, and DUO MUSIC EXCHANGE. Previously confirmed performers include U-zhaan×Tamaki ROY×Chinza DOPENESS, Cornelius, Daito Manabe + Yasukiyoshi Okamura, DONGROSSO, TOWA TEI, Yoshinori Sunahara, SE SO NEON, Dos Monos, Saho Haraguchi, and Fuki Kitamura.
Adding to the excitement, the festival has announced new performers, including Balming Tiger, a Seoul-based artist collective known for its unique style. Additionally, Mars89, Chloé Juliette, and Dos Monos member Motsu a.k.a. NGS, along with DJ performers NOTYPE 9, Miwa, and TOYOMU—who were selected through a DJ audition—will take the stage at Higashimaya for an electrifying night of DJ sets.
Additionally, the timetable for each venue has been released. On the day of the event, attendees can freely move between the three venues to enjoy the performances.
The event will be held as part of the “DIG SHIBUYA 2025” cultural event, which takes place across four days from February 8 (Saturday) to 11 (Tuesday, national holiday) in the Shibuya area. “DIG SHIBUYA 2025” will feature various official programs such as “Pineapple Scramble,” a project by sculptor Ryuichi Ohira, and the “Shibuya Crossing Night Art,” an art exhibition at the Shibuya Crossing at midnight. Additionally, there will be collaborative projects by 12 groups selected through an open call, all showcasing a blend of technology and art to illuminate the streets of Shibuya.
