Tatsuya Kitani and Natori’s new song, “Ira nai Mono,” has been chosen as the opening theme for the first season of the TV anime “Rurouni Kenshin – Meiji Swordsman Romantic Saga – Kyoto Disturbance,” which starts airing on October 3rd (Thursday) at midnight.
The series, which is being fully supervised by original creator Nobuhiro Watsuki, reimagines the original work with the latest animation technology from the very first episode. This new anime series, which will air across two seasons, marks the first collaboration between Kitani and Natori, with both artists co-writing and composing the song. Comments from Kitani and Natori have been released alongside this announcement.

Perhaps there is truly nothing that we must do, even if it means letting go of the happiness and people we cherish. However, there are moments in life when we can’t stop ourselves from pursuing a path driven by self-righteousness, and I believe there is a certain validity to that. The anguish of being caught between two choices, and the resulting vulnerability, is also a beautiful aspect of being human. I hope you enjoy the song, which reflects these feelings.Natori
Even if love, kindness, and pain all turn into curses, and no matter how many seasons pass, this song portrays the beautifully gritty image of someone who has decided to protect what they must. Please, give it a listen.
Additionally, Aniplex’s official YouTube channel has released the third promotional video for the anime featuring the song “Iranaimono.”
