The immersive music experience museum MUUUSE: MUSIC MUSEUM – Feel the Sound, Hear the Light, Reflect with the Body will be held from Friday, November 1, to Friday, December 27, at the information hub “TOKYO NODE” in Toranomon Hills Station Tower, Tokyo. It has also been revealed that the first wave of collaborating artists will include YOASOBI, TM NETWORK, and THE YELLOW MONKEY.
Organized by TOKYO NODE and J-WAVE, this exhibition offers a new type of music experience, where visitors can immerse their entire bodies in sound. Through the expressions of top-tier creators and cutting-edge technology, immersive musical experiences are provided in three uniquely designed galleries. In particular, GALLERY B, titled “Songs and Emotions,” features a massive 24m x 4.5m LED display within a 1,000m² space, allowing visitors to feel as though they’ve stepped onto an artist’s stage through a blend of music, visuals, and lighting effects.
Additionally, GALLERY A, titled “Memories of Nature,” features a celestial dome with projection mapping and 3D sound, offering an immersive experience that allows visitors to be surrounded by the sounds of nature and nature-inspired music. Furthermore, GALLERY C, titled “Practices for the Future,” located in a spacious area with a 12-meter high ceiling, provides an immersive experience using fiber beam light displays and music co-created with AI.
In addition, the Toranomon Hills Station Tower, where the event will be held, is set to feature a Christmas installation in conjunction with the exhibition. There are also plans for music-themed events across the entire Toranomon area, including collaborations with restaurants and other venues.
In preparation for the event, comments have been received from Kuniyasu Komukai, Director of J-WAVE Inc. and General Producer of INNOVATION WORLD FESTA, as well as from the Operations Office of TOKYO NODE, a division of New Business Development at Mori Building Co., Ltd.

The music and technology festival J-WAVE INNOVATION WORLD FESTA, which J-WAVE launched in 2016, has evolved into MUUUSE in its 9th year, thanks to a collaboration with TOKYO NODE. This new music experience, created by cutting-edge digital technology and top artists’ music, is an unparalleled digital music festival, an advanced theater, and immersive entertainment all in one. J-WAVE, which has long been a leader in Tokyo’s music scene, proudly presents this completely new music entertainment event. Experience MUUUSE with your eyes, ears, and entire body.TOKYO NODE Management Office, New Territory Business Department, Mori Building Co.
With the rise of wearable devices and streaming services, music has become content that can be enjoyed “anytime,” “anywhere,” “anything,” and “instantly.” On the other hand, after the pandemic, live concerts and festivals—the experiences we’ve long anticipated of enjoying “right here, right now,” from “that artist”—have regained value, leading to a polarization in how people experience music. Since opening in 2023, TOKYO NODE has been a facility that broadcasts cross-disciplinary expressions and content to the world. We’ve collaborated with creators to produce new immersive exhibitions such as “Syn: Expanding Horizons of Physical Sensation by Rhizomatiks × ELEVENPLAY,” “Mika Ninagawa’s Eternity in a Moment,” and “Perfume Disco-Graphy: 25 Years of Miracles and Milestones.”
With MUUUSE, we aim to present a third path amidst the current polarization of music experiences, offering a “completely new way to enjoy music” that transcends the two domains of museums and music, which, despite sharing the same origin, have evolved into distinct cultural experiences in modern times.
