The third wave of performers for “FESTIVAL de FRUE 2024,” scheduled to take place on November 2 (Saturday) and 3 (Sunday, a public holiday) at Tsumagoi Resort Sai no Sato in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, has been announced.
2024 will mark the 8th edition of “FESTIVAL de FRUE,” an outdoor festival organized by FRUE, which has been inviting musicians from around the world since its inception in 2012. Previously announced performers include 13 acts such as Acid Pauli, Ayano Kaneko, and Mami Kakudo.
On Wednesday, September 3, the third wave of performers was revealed: Shintaro Sakamoto and claire rousay. Sakamoto’s appearance is scheduled between his U.S. tour in October and his Japan, Korea, and Taiwan tour starting on November 12 (Tuesday), where he will be performing with AYA, Yuta Suganuma, and Tetsu Nishiuchi.
claire rousay, an experimental/ambient musician from Winnipeg, Canada, currently based in Los Angeles, USA, will also be performing. In April, she released her latest work, “sentiment,” through Chicago-based label Thrill Jockey, which has been highly praised for its blend of experimental music and indie/emo rock.
Before appearing at the event, claire rousay will also embark on her first solo Japan tour titled “claire rousay ‘sentiment’ Japan tour 2024,” with performances scheduled on October 29 (Tuesday) at UrBANGUILD in Kyoto and October 30 (Wednesday) at Shibuya WWW in Tokyo. Guests for these shows will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for “FESTIVAL de FRUE 2024” and claire rousay’s Japan tour are both on sale at “FRUE SHOP.”
