Juana Molina has been announced as the second artist to perform at “FESTIVAL FRUEZINHO 2024” to be held on Saturday, July 6 at Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo.
This event is a spin-off of the “FESTIVAL de FRUE” festival held in Kakegawa, Shizuoka, and is held around the summer solstice. It is characterized by a free environment that is not as harsh as a “festival” and not as rigid as a “concert. So far, three groups have been announced to perform: vibraphonist Mulatu Astatke, Yuta Orisaka (band), and “wave²,” a project by percussionist Mami Kakudo and dancer Kaho Kogure.
Juana Molina is a singer-songwriter from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She became known as the “Argentine Acousticist” with her second album, “Segundo,” which incorporated many experimental approaches, including a subtle blend of acoustic and electronic sounds and fantastic, hypnotic rhythms. until Wednesday, April 24, singer-songwriter / guitarist Madison Cunningham until Wednesday, April 24, and his solo tour “JUANA SOLA SUMMER 2024 TOUR” in the U.S. starting in June. After the tour, he will come to Japan. It has been about 7 years since his last visit to Japan.
