The first wave of performers for “GMO SONIC 2025,” taking place at Saitama Super Arena on January 25th (Saturday) and 26th (Sunday), has been announced, featuring ANYMA’s debut in Japan.
Hosted by the GMO Internet Group and CreativeMan, the same organizers behind “SUMMER SONIC,” this festival, which began in 2023, showcases leading artists from the domestic and international dance music scenes. The event is known for incorporating various elements of “Wa” (Japanese style) into its stage designs and performances, merging Japanese culture with entertainment.
ANYMA, set to headline on January 25th, is a solo project by Matteo Milleri of the Italian electronic duo Tale Of Us. He is also a founding member of the label “AFTERLIFE,” established in 2016. The label’s namesake event in Ibiza is renowned as one of Europe’s top techno events. ANYMA’s audiovisual productions have received global acclaim, including a sold-out countdown show at Las Vegas’s Sphere, one of the world’s largest spherical arenas, at the end of 2023. His second album, “Genesys Part II,” is scheduled for release in March 2024.
