Utaha, the second-generation lead vocalist of Wednesday Campanella, has announced her solo project. Her debut album, titled “Utauyouni, Hogarakani” was digitally released on Thursday, July 4th.
The announcement was made at the first concert of Wednesday Campanella’s “ZEPP TOUR 2024〜POP DELIVERY〜” on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Zepp Sapporo. The album features eight tracks centered around a band sound, all written and composed by Utaha. The production and arrangement were handled by Ichiro Yoshida of Fukashoku Sekai, with drums by BOBO and sound engineering by Uni Inoue. The album cover is a homage to a photo taken by Utaha herself when she was young, featuring an almost makeup-free, natural image of Utaha.
On her birthday, August 9th (Friday), the album’s CD release and her first solo live show with a band set at Shinjuku LOFT in Tokyo have also been confirmed. If you pre-order the album at the Wednesday Campanella tour venues until July 31st, you will receive a postcard signed by Utaha.
