LOM BABY will hold an exhibition at the National Art Center, Tokyo in August.
LOM BABY is a creative group of artists, engineers, and academics who develop artificial life forms based on the theme of “birth of life. The latest bio-art “Dragon Meat” generated using the DNA will be exhibited for the first time. In addition, as an exhibit exploring LOM BABY’s subject matter, “Do we have love for data?”, a work that explores the nature of life as perceived by humankind by implanting a blockchain into an artificial cell will also be unveiled. On Friday, June 28, a PR event will be held at TRUNK (HOTEL) in Shibuya, Tokyo, in advance of the exhibition.
All of the works exhibited at the large-scale solo exhibition “LOM BABY_PLUS ULTRA” held at GINZA 456 Created by KDDI in Ginza, Tokyo, during Golden Week 2024, were sold out. LOM BABY’s works are scattered throughout the U.S., U.K., France, Mexico, and other countries, and have attracted the attention of collectors overseas.
