Asian Pop Festival 2024 Takes Place at South Korean Resort: Featuring Shintaro Sakamoto, never young beach, Petrolz and More

Asian Pop Festival 2024″ will be held on June 22 and 23 at Paradise City, an integrated resort facility in Incheon, South Korea.

From Japan, never young beach, Petrolz, Shintaro Sakamoto, Wednesday Campanella, and betcover! from Japan will visit Korea for the festival. From South Korea, Say Sue Me, a four-piece indie rock band from Busan, NELL, a rock band known locally as a talented group, GLEN CHECK and IDIOTAPE, who have performed at many rock festivals, Lee Ran, who has also released an album with Satoko Shibata, and Saxophone Player, who toured Japan in March, will perform. Saxophonist Kim Oki, who toured Japan in March, and Yohei Hasegawa, an important figure in the Korean band scene, will also perform.

Also on the bill are Thai electro-pop band KIKI, Taiwan’s top indie band No Party For Cao Dong / 草東沒有派對, which sold out its Taiwan tour immediately after resuming activities, and China’s Schoolgirl byebye, whose band name comes from an album by NUMBER GIRL, The festival will also feature notable bands and artists from Asia, such as Japan-born, Philippines-based ENA MORI, and Korean-American Michelle Thesaurus. The festival will be a huge festival that transcends Asia, including an appearance by Japanese Breakfast, a unit led by Korean-American Michelle Zauner and nominated for a Grammy Award at the 64th Grammy Awards.

On May 1st (Wednesday), the third lineup announcement revealed six more acts, including singer-songwriter Lee Jina, known for her pop songs featuring skillful jazz piano, the four-member band LACUNA named after the film ‘Eternal Sunshine’ (2004), and MY AUNT MARY, a band formed in 1995 known for their beautiful melodic rock. The final lineup is expected to be announced in May.

Tickets for international visitors are also on sale and can be purchased in Japan for 110,000 won for a 1-day pass and 176,000 won for a 2-day pass.
