The “Gensho Yasuda” will be held at GALLERY X BY PARCO in Shibuya, Tokyo, from November 17 (Friday) to December 4 (Monday).
Gensho Yasuda is an up-and-coming animation artist who is in charge of everything from character design to backgrounds and scenarios. He is also known for his work on the music videos for the short animation series “Cursed Dolls,” the song “Can’t Be Right” for “It’s Always Been Midnight,” and “Laughing Dual Personality” by ryo (supercell) feat. yoei.
This exhibition, the artist’s first solo show, will focus on his short animations released to date. The display will include animation works, sketches, 2.5D art works (aluminum art works) derived from his short animations, and other works and materials. Also on display will be “Yasuda Phenomenon,” a character modeled after his own profile picture, as well as merchandise featuring characters created from short animations and 2.5D artwork available for order.
Admission to the “Yasuda Phenomenon” exhibition is by reservation only from November 17 (Fri.) to 19 (Sun.), and tickets for the three days are available at livepocket. The exhibition is also scheduled to travel to Nagoya PARCO in Aichi Prefecture in December 2023 and Umeda Loft in Osaka Prefecture in February 2024.
