Louis Vuitton will publish “Creating Infinity: Yayoi Kusama × Louis Vuitton” on Friday, September 29, 2012.
The book, supervised by Ferdinando Verderi and Isabel Venero, includes a foreword by Yayoi Kusama herself and contributions from renowned experts in the fields of fashion and art. The authors include writers Jo Ann Furniss and Marc Jacobs, curators Mika Yoshitake and Philip Larratt Smith, who have organized exhibitions featuring Yayoi Kusama’s work, as well as curator and artistic director of the Serpentine Gallery in London, Hans Ulrich Obrist is among the curators.
Other contemporary artists and musicians, including Arca, Katherine Bradford, Anne Imhof, Ryan McNamara, Raúl de Nieves,Ryan Trecartin, Nora Turato, and Jacolby Satterwhite, will discuss Yayoi Kusama’s influence The book. Also includes reflections on the power of Yayoi Kusama and how she expresses herself through motifs such as polka dots and mirror balls.
