The film “People Who Talk to Plushies Are Kind” will be released in theaters on April 14.
Based on a novel of the same title by Ao Omae, who has also published “Omoroi igai irannen” and “Kimi dakara sabishii”. Directed by Yurina Kaneko, who was once selected for the omnibus film “21st Century Girl.”
Set in a “stuffed animal circle” at a university, the film depicts Nanamori, a university student who is uncomfortable with the idea of “masculinity” and “femininity,” Mugito, who has a heart-to-heart with Nanamori, and the people around them. In addition to casting Kanata Hosoda as Nanamori and Ren Komai as Mugito, Yuzumi Shintani, Gaku Hosokawa, Mao, Yuuki Kamioosako, and Kogarashi Wakasugi also appear.
