Ryuichi Sakamoto’s solo exhibition “Ryuichi Sakamoto: SOUND AND TIME” will be held at the newly opened Chengdu Woods Museum of Art (People’s Park) [M WOODS (People’s Park), Chengdu] in Chengdu, China, from July 30.
The exhibition, which will be held to commemorate the opening of the museum, is a development of “坂本龍一:观音听时|Ryuichi Sakamoto: seeing sound, hearing time” which was held two years ago at M WOODS HUTONG in Beijing, and will be the largest solo exhibition of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s art activities in a comprehensive review.
The exhibition will consist of eight large-scale sound installations created in collaboration with collaborators such as Shiro Takatani, Daito Manabe, Zakkubalan and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and an outdoor space will be dedicated to new works created for the exhibition.
