Denki Groove has been announced as part of the third lineup for SONICMANIA, set to take place on August 15, 2025, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.
SONICMANIA serves as the pre-party event for SUMMER SONIC 2025, which will be held from August 16-17 at ZOZO Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Chiba, and Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Suita, Osaka. The event, often referred to as Sonimani, offers an all-night experience focused on electro sounds, following the same spirit as SUMMER SONIC. So far, artists such as THE PRODIGY, GESAFFELSTEIN, FLOATING POINTS, Tohji, and Perfume have been confirmed to perform.
Denki Groove, who will celebrate their 35th anniversary in 2024, continues their busy schedule with a nationwide tour, guest appearances at New Order’s shows in February 2025, and a highly anticipated hall tour titled “Tour ‘the’ Reserved Seats” in June, marking their first designated-seating tour in over 30 years. This performance at SONICMANIA will be Denki Groove’s first appearance at the event since 2023.
