ROTH BART BARON’s “BEAR NIGHT 6” to Take Place on July 19 at Spotify O-EAST in Shibuya
The summer tradition “BEAR NIGHT”, affectionately known as “KUMA FES”, is a solo festival by folk-rock band ROTH BART BARON, led by singer-songwriter Masaya Mifune. Held at venues like Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall and LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in the past, the event features large-scale performances, special guest collaborations, and unique projects by the band’s community “PALACE”, bringing together everything the band wants to express in the moment.
For its 6th edition, the festival is themed “Forest of Music”, with an expanded lineup featuring Mifune and seven other members, plus more to be announced. A special message from Mifune has also been released.
A Invitation to the Forest of Music.
This year, BEAR NIGHT will bring a “forest” to the heart of the bustling city. It will be a place where the melodies of the forest intertwine with the stillness and excitement that arise from the crowd, a space where sounds set our souls free. Each encounter here feels like a miracle, and I’m deeply thankful for how we’ve been able to build these moments together. After the festival vanished due to the pandemic, I thought, “If it’s gone, let’s recreate it,” and I’m grateful I found the courage to make that happen.
Now, a new festival is alive and thriving, and with each beat of the music, new stories are written. On this day, everyone—artists, the audience, and the staff—comes together to experience the pure freedom that music offers, an indescribable joy.
