The third lineup announcement for VIVA LA ROCK 2025 has been revealed, adding 16 new artists to the rock festival set to take place over four days from Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Saitama Super Arena.
Nicknamed “Viva La,” the festival will utilize the arena’s full-scale “stadium mode.” This year’s event celebrates the 25th anniversary of Saitama Super Arena with special collaborative projects in the works. Previously announced performers included imase, AiNA THE END, Hitsujibungaku, jo0ji, Dos Monos, and LANA.
The new additions, revealed on January 20 (Monday), include indigo la End, ENTH, Creepy Nuts, Saucy Dog, SKY-HI, Chakura, Tele, Nekuraitoiki, Hanabie., 04 Limited Sazabys, HEY-SMITH, Persicaria, The BONEZ, UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, Rin Toshite Shigure, and WurtS. With this, a total of 41 artists have been confirmed so far. The festival also announced the performance dates for all acts revealed in the first, second, and third waves.
Ticket sales for the second pre-sale phase are now live via the official Viva La app. Passes for all four days, two-day passes, and single-day tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis until 11:59 PM on Monday, February 24 (holiday). A dedicated page for international attendees to purchase tickets has also been launched on ePlus.
Festival producer Tomoko Ariizumi shared a detailed message about the latest updates, including an announcement of an audition project for aspiring musicians. This initiative is a collaboration with Saitama-based artists, including Akira Ishige from the telephones.
The year 2025 has begun! I look forward to another year of great experiences with you all!
We’ve just revealed the third wave of artists for VIVA LA ROCK 2025, along with the performance dates for all the artists announced so far, bringing the total number of acts to 41. We are working towards having 96 artists in total (55 more to go!), and the outline of this year’s festival is starting to take shape. Some artists will be making their Viva La debut, while others, who have previously delivered incredible performances on the festival’s stage, will return to continue creating unforgettable moments.
Viva La has been able to continue every year thanks to your support, but live performances and festivals are always a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The performance on that one day will never happen again. As this year marks the 12th edition of Viva La, I’m excited to see what kind of live shows the artists will deliver, and how the music, their expressions on stage, and the interaction with the audience will shape the four unforgettable days. I will continue to release more details as we move forward, so please continue to imagine and look forward to the new spring of VIVA LA ROCK 2025!
Ticket sales for the second pre-sale phase have also started. This is the time to apply for all ticket types, including single-day passes. Applications will only be accepted through the Viva La official app, so be sure to download the app and apply. Additionally, a ticket site for international attendees to join VIVA LA ROCK has also opened. Please check the TICKET page for more details. As in previous years, children in elementary school or younger can attend for free when accompanied by a guardian (one child per guardian).
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the opening of Saitama Super Arena. If you’ve recently visited the arena, you might have noticed the 25th anniversary logo displayed around the venue. Saitama Super Arena isn’t just the venue that hosts us; it’s an important partner with whom we collaborate to create the best possible experience for Viva La and the music. To celebrate this milestone, we’re also working on collaboration goods. Let’s come together and celebrate this remarkable venue’s anniversary, which has hosted unforgettable live performances from many artists!
One more thing: In collaboration with Akira Ishige of the telephones and friends from Saitama, we’re launching an audition for the first time in a while! The telephones, originally from Kitaurawa, Saitama, have been a part of Viva La since its first year, and Ishige even created the iconic Viva La Rock! jingle. We’ve been on this journey together since the early days of the festival. Stay tuned for more details soon—music enthusiasts, keep an eye out!
Wishing a great year to everyone in 2025. I look forward to seeing you all at VIVA LA ROCK 2025 this May!
