Mamoru Hosoda’s film ‘Scarlet’ is set to be released in the winter of 2025.
This film marks Hosoda’s first new work in approximately four years, following ‘Belle’ and is his next project after celebrating the 15th anniversary of ‘Summer Wars.’ Hosoda serves as the director, scriptwriter, and original creator. The film is a collaborative production between Studio Chizu, Nippon Television, and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), who are also co-financing the project. In Japan, the film will be distributed by Toho, with worldwide distribution handled by SPE.
Along with the announcement, a teaser visual was also revealed, featuring a striking image of a woman with red hair standing under a gradient sky, facing toward the bright sky.
