Yuma Abe’s album Hotel New Yuma is set to be released.
Abe, who is active as the vocalist and guitarist of never young beach, recently completed his first North American tour, which included 12 performances in 11 cities. Hotel New Yuma is a reinterpretation of 1950s and 1960s Japan, a period that has greatly influenced Abe. The album is themed around the “Hotel New Yuma,” where Abe serves as the manager, and features a collection of theme songs from a popular variety show loved by residents of the island, appealing to people of all ages.
Hotel New Yuma Program Overview
Welcome to a warm, southern island where the only hotel is called “Hotel New Yuma.” Here, Yuma Abe serves as the hotel manager. Set in this charming hotel, a variety show has emerged, with Abe himself hosting the program in his role as the hotel manager. The show is broadcast live every Friday night at 11:15 PM for a duration of 30 minutes. Each episode features various guests and includes sketches, songs, readings, and conversations. The program progresses with short skits based on a theme, interspersed with dancing, performances, and singing.Featuring singers in comedic sketches and comedians who also sing, the show offers a stylish and exotic viewing experience, all with a lively pace. Despite airing at a late hour, it has become a beloved program for island residents of all ages, making it a family favorite.
On November 13 of this year, the long-awaited “Hotel New Yuma” theme song collection will finally be released, much to the excitement of the island’s residents.
The album will be digitally released on November 13 (Wednesday) and is set to be available on vinyl on December 18 (Wednesday). Among the tracks, “Minna de Utaimashou” was released as a pre-release on October 16 (Wednesday), followed by the music video, which premiered on October 23 (Wednesday).
Additionally, a tour is scheduled for December, covering seven cities in the United States, with three cities in Japan in January 2025. The opening concert in Los Angeles will feature Yuma Abe as the opening act for Brainstory, a trio band promoted by the cutting-edge label BIG CROWN RECORDS from New York. Details regarding the Japanese performances will be announced soon.
