Hosono House Cover Series Features Yuma Abe’s ‘Fuyu Goe’

Yuuma Abe’s song ‘Fuyu Goe’ from the cover album “HOSONO HOUSE COVER” was distributed in advance on March 13 (Wed.).

The cover album “HOSONO HOUSE COVER” commemorates the 50th anniversary of Haruomi Hosono’s first album, “HOSONO HOUSE.” Each song from the album will be released as a single for distribution, with the first release being a cover of “Boku wa Chotto” by Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco.

The second cover of ‘Fuyu Goe’ will be performed by Yuma Abe of the band “never young beach. In addition to Abe, a total of 10 guest musicians, including Sakura Fujiwara and Yuga, participate in the chorus, and the band arrangement. The cover artwork was created by Nick Dahlen, an artist based in Minneapolis, MN, USA.

I covered ‘Fuyu Goe’ thinking about what Mr. Hosono would say when he hears it.
When I recorded it, I felt like I was going back in timet. It was a special experience.”

The album is scheduled to be released in a series of singles. Various illustrators and designers will be in charge of the artwork, and more participating artists will be announced.
