The pop culture festival ‘TAMATAMA FESTIVAL 2024’ will be held on October 19 (Saturday) and 20 (Sunday) around the Tama Center Station area in Tama City, Tokyo.
This event is organized and produced by the music agency WACK, known for nurturing artists like BiSH, and NiEW, which supports alternative culture. Collaborating with Tama City, local residents, artists, and businesses, the festival utilizes spaces such as the main street and a former school to showcase culture, entertainment, and the charm of Tama New Town. The first event in 2023 attracted approximately 40,000 visitors over two days.
‘TAMATAMA FESTIVAL 2024’ will be held in two locations, similar to the previous year: the former Nishi-Ochiai Junior High School for the ‘WACK Style Culture Festival’ and the Tama Center Station area for the ‘NiEW TOWN PARTY.’ Additionally, auditions have begun on TuneCore Japan for a chance to perform at the special edition of the free music event ‘exPoP!!!!!’ on the special outdoor stage in front of the station.
Details about the program and tickets will be announced at a later date. Additionally, participants who want to help create the event are being recruited through a dedicated form.
