Rira Ikuta will release her new song “Humming,” which has been used as the new theme song for Fuji Television’s “Mezamashi Saturday” since April, on June 1 (Sat).
Ikuta wrote the lyrics and composed the song on the theme of “Saturday,” and it is a song that gently accompanies people on their different mornings, when some are enjoying their holidays and others are trying to get up and get going with work or schoolwork. The jacket photo, which was released prior to the distribution, was taken by Ikuta herself, and the title of the song, “Humming,” was handwritten by herself. The design is based on a photo of a cat stretching out and yawning in the sun, which was also the inspiration for the song’s lyrics.
In addition, a new artist photo has been released. The photos were taken by Miss Bean, a Tokyo- and Hong Kong-based visual director/photographer who has worked extensively on advertising photography, graphics, and music videos.
