NewJeans announced a collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Hiroshi Fujiwara has designed T-shirts, bandanas, hats, bags, and more for NewJeans. The designs feature various graphics incorporating the group name, member names, and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s name, including Hangul characters written by Fujiwara. These items will be showcased at special popup stores in Korea and Japan in June.
Prior to this collaboration, NewJeans collaborated with Takashi Murakami on the jacket and accompanying bag for their Japan debut single “Supernatural,” featuring his signature “flowers” and illustrations of the band members. and illustrations of the band members on the jacket and accompanying bag.
In the music video teaser for the song “Right Now,” the members dressed as the Powerpuff Girls are shown discovering rainbow-colored “flowers” and being reborn as new characters.
NewJeans will release “Supernatural” on Friday, June 21, and will hold their first solo concert at Tokyo Dome the following week on Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27.
