Shota Aratani’s (ex. yonawo) second single “Aikotoba” will be released digitally on Wednesday, May 15. A making-of video has been released on YouTube.
Aratani, who started her career as a solo artist in 2024, released her debut single “Tears” on Wednesday, April 17, and “Aikotoba” is the second of three consecutive monthly single releases. The song is arranged by Eiji Nakamura, a trackmaker who has played keyboards on yonawo’s tours, and contains a melancholy and agonizing monologue of love in a pop song.

Aratani plans to release his third single in June, and will also appear at a number of festivals, including “ARIFUJI WEEKENDERS 2024” at Arima Fuji Park in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, on Saturday, May 18, and at Fujimi Kogen Resort in Fujimi Town, Nagano Prefecture, on Saturday and Sunday, June 8-9. The live performances will be held at “THE CAMP BOOK 2024” at Fujimi Kogen Resort in Fujimi-machi, Nagano on June 8 (Sat.) and 9 (Sun.).
