88rising will participate in the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as the “88rising Futures” stage.
88rising is a U.S.-based music label and media platform that supports artists with roots in Asia in their global expansion and promotes the Asian cultural scene to the world.
The special stage “88rising Futures” will be held on Sunday, April 14, and will feature performances from Japan by Atarashii Gakko!, who are popular for their genre-crossing performances based on the concept of representing Japan’s youth, Awich, a hip-hop queen from Okinawa who is attracting fans in Japan and abroad, and Number_i, a group that has garnered attention since its formation. Number_i, a group that has been attracting attention since its formation, and YOASOBI, a two-member music unit that boasts global popularity, will perform. Comments from each artist were also announced.
New School Leaders and YOASOBI are scheduled to perform on other stages as well.

We are proud to be able to perform at the biggest festival in the U.S. with Japanese culture on our shoulders. We are preparing a production that will stimulate the five senses beyond the language barrier and a special performance only at Coachella. On the 88th stage, I will happily nurture music with my friends. And as the representative of youth in Japan, I want to be the most “youthful” of all!

I have seen on SNS and other media that people are waiting for us to perform in the U.S. for the first time in a year, so I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of excitement we can create with everyone at the venue.
Other confirmed performers include Xin Liu from China, who has overwhelming dance performance and singing ability, Tiger JK from Korea, a talented rapper who has provided songs for top idols, and Yoonmirae, also known as DIVA in the Korean hip-hop scene. In 2024, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will be held over two weeks, from Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14 and Friday, April 19 to Sunday, April 21 (local time). The headliner lineup includes Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat. The rock band NO DOUBT, led by Gwen Stefani, will perform for the first time since 2015, according to a major announcement.
