Atarashii Gakko! continued from the previous week’s Weekend 1 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (“Coachella”), the world’s largest music festival, held on Sunday, April 21 (local time) in Indio, California, USA, The band was the closing act on the GOBI stage.
Coachella is one of the world’s largest music festivals, held over two weekends in April each year in the Coachella Valley in the desert region of Indio, California. 2024 will be headlined by Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat. Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat headlined the festival, which also featured performances by YOASOBI and Hatsune Miku from Japan.
Atarashii Gakko! appeared before an audience that could not fit in the tent covering the auditorium. They started their live performance with “Toryanse,” a song inspired by a Japanese warabe song, and went on to perform 12 songs, including “Giri Giri” and “Suki Lie ” and performed 12 songs, including “Giri Giri” and “Suki Lie.” SUZUKA went down to the audience to sing “Otona Blue” from the fence at the very front of the stage, and the USC marching band joined in on “Tokyo Calling.” Between songs, the audience responded with “ATARASHII GAKKO!” and “Arigato! The last number, “NAINAINAI,” was sung by SUZUKA, who again sang from the fence in the front of the audience seats. Before returning to the stage, she hugged the audience, sending them into a frenzy.
On the group’s official X (formerly Twitter), some scenes from Weekend 1 of “Otona Blue,” which was performed two weeks in a row, are now available.
Atarashii Gakko!, who have been actively performing around the world, are scheduled to perform at the “Head In The Clouds New York” festival in New York, USA in May, and to tour Europe and Asia on their “World Tour Part I” in June. The first day of the tour, June 1, is scheduled to be the first day of the tour. On June 1 (Sat.), the first day of the tour, the band will perform at “Primavera Sound,” one of the largest festivals in Europe, in Madrid, Spain.
