Guin Poon Chaw, Shota Sometani, an More to Join Cast of “Worlds Apart” Movie

New cast information and scene photos for the movie “Worlds Apart,” scheduled for release in June, have been revealed.

Based on the manga of the same title by Tomoko Yamashita, the film depicts how to relate to others and the honest concerns of adults, centering on the lives of a shy novelist, Makio Kodai, and his amiable niece, Asa Takumi. It was announced that Yui Aragaki will play Makio Koudai, Hayase Koi will play Asa Takumi, Natsuho will play Nana Daigo, Makio’s friend, Kouji Seto will play Shingo Kasamachi, Makio’s former lover, and Nagisa Komiyama will play Emiri Naramachi, Asa’s best friend. The film will be directed by Seta Natsuki.

On February 1 (Thursday), the third cast information was announced: five actors. The third cast announced on Thursday, February 1, features Guin Poon Chaw as Kyoko Koudai, Makio’s mother; Yuko Nakamura as Minori Koudai, sister of Makio and mother of Morning; Himena Irei as Chiyo Morimoto, Morning’s classmate and a brilliant student; Erika Takizawa as Mimori, a member of the light music club like Asa; and Shota Sometani as Kazunari Tohno, a lawyer who looks after Makio and Asa as their guardianship supervisor.

In addition, five scene photos were released at the same time, including Makio and Asa sitting in the back seat of the bus while maintaining a delicate distance, two shots of Makio and Kasamachi as former lovers, and a scene in which Asa and Emiri are heading to the entrance ceremony of their high school.
