Kiyomaru Togo, and CHO CO PA CO CHO CO QUIN QUIN Set for Live Performance at Shibuya’s WWW

A live show by Kiyomaru Togo’s orchestra, Kiyomaru Togo匚 and CHO CO PA CO CHO CO QUIN QUIN, will be held on February 14, 2024 at WWW in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Kiyomaru Togo is a musician whose first album “2 trillion yen” was nominated for the “APPLE VINEGAR – Music Award -“, a music award for new musicians, and his second album “Q song” won a special jury award at the same award. She is active not only as a singer-songwriter, but also in a wide variety of other fields, such as songwriting, commercial music production, and narration. In this performance, she will be joined by Yuzuko Ijin (Cho / Tp), Aoi Tagami (Cho / Gt), Misaki Hondo (Sax), Taiki Nakamura (Ba / Cho), Serious Takara (Per), and Maiko Tomita (Per) to form the orchestra “Kiyomaru Togo匚 (Hou)” with the largest number of members ever.

CHO CO PA CO CHO CO QUIN QUIN is a three-piece comic band from Tokyo. The band was formed in the fourth grade of elementary school, but disbanded once in the fifth grade because all the members were guitars. Later, one of the members became devoted to Latin American music, and after studying abroad at the University of Havana, Cuba, he mastered “cho co pa co cho co quin quin,” a type of rhythm pattern, and reformed the band in 2021. Their first album “tradition”, which combines ethnic music and electronic sounds, attracted attention in various places, and in 2023 they performed at “Asagiri JAM” and “FRUE”.
