“Leap Before You Look: Contemporary Japanese Photography vol.20” will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in Ebisu, Tokyo, from October 27 (Friday) to January 21 (Sunday), 2024.
The “Contemporary Japanese Photography” exhibition has been held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography since 2002 to support the creative spirit that challenges the possibilities of photography and imaging, to discover promising artists, and to introduce new creative activities.
This year’s exhibition, the 20th of its kind, will feature five artists, Yumiko Utsu, Yuta Fuchigami, Genjin Hoshi, Yumemuko, and Shinpei Yamagami, who use their unique photographic techniques to show where the driving force to survive in the uncertain times of the 21st century lies.
