The digitally remastered version of Quentin Tarantino’s debut film “Reservoir Dogs” will be released nationwide on January 5, 2024 (Friday) at Shinjuku Piccadilly and other locations. A special trailer has now been released.
“Reservoir Dogs” is Quentin Tarantino’s first film and was first screened at the Sundance Film Festival in the United States in 1992. The film attracted attention for its innovative structure and depiction of extreme violence, and was entered in film festivals in Canada, Sweden, Spain, and other countries, where it won numerous awards. At the Cannes International Film Festival in particular, a warning was posted on posters and tickets, “Not for the faint of heart,” due to the content of the film, and when the film was screened, there were many viewers who left during the screening, but the film was still a hit.
The film was first shown in Japan on April 24, 1993, and with the decision to re-release the film in theaters for the first time in 30 years, an official website andofficial X (formerly Twitter) have also been established.
