The third wave of artists for SUMMER SONIC 2025, set to take place on August 16 (Saturday) and 17 (Sunday), has been revealed.
SUMMER SONIC, one of Japan’s largest music festivals, is held annually in Tokyo and Osaka, featuring top-tier domestic and international artists. In 2024, both Tokyo and Osaka events sold out, drawing a total of 258,000 attendees across the festival and the pre-event SONICMANIA.
The 2025 edition, marking the 24th year of the festival, will once again take place at ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Chiba for the Tokyo venue, and Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Suita, Osaka for the Osaka venue. FALL OUT BOY will headline the event, joined by previously announced performers including Official HIGE DANDism, Camila Cabello, BABYMETAL, and LANA.
The latest lineup announcement includes seven acts: French DJ and producer Gesaffelstein, British artists YUNGBLUD and HOT MILK, Korean artist Lee Youngji, and three Japanese bands – THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE, go!go!vanillas, and FRUITS ZIPPER. Notably, Gesaffelstein will perform exclusively at the Osaka event, while go!go!vanillas will play in Tokyo. An additional headliner will be revealed on March 14.
Ticket sales for both the Tokyo and Osaka shows will open on March 12 (Wednesday) at noon, with CreativeMan members having exclusive access to pre-sale tickets for 1DAY and Platinum tickets. Official pre-sale for 1DAY and Platinum tickets will begin on March 17 (Monday) at noon.
