NODA-MAP’s new play “Rabbit Runs on the Waves,” led by Hideki Noda, will be performed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space Playhouse from June 17.
The setting of this new work, the first new production in two years, is “a kind of ‘play-within-a-play’ set in a ‘crumbling amusement park. It is said that “Alice” and a person who resembles a “world-famous playwright of rare talent” will appear in the play.
The cast includes Issey Takahashi, Takako Matsu, Mikako Tabe, Natsuko Akiyama, Koji Okura, Sasuke Otsuru, Hajime Yamazaki, and Hideki Noda.
After the Tokyo production, the Osaka production will be held at the New Kabuki-za Theater from August 3, and the Hakata production will be held at the Hakataza Theater from August 17. Tickets for the Tokyo performance will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on May 28, and those for the Osaka and Hakata performances will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on July 8.
