Renowned pianist and keyboardist Ayatake Ezaki is set to perform at the annual music event L’ULTIMO BACIO Anno 24, taking place on Sunday, December 15, at The Garden Hall in Ebisu, Tokyo. The event will feature special guest singers Tsukasa Nagatsuka (WONK), jo0ji, and Hana Hope, promising a memorable night of music.
L’ULTIMO BACIO has been a staple of the Christmas season since 2004, showcasing a diverse array of artists from Japan and beyond. Past performers include Yosui Inoue, Haruomi Hosono, Suga Shikao, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Hiromi Uehara, Awich, and Incognito. For its 2024 edition, the event will host performances by Motoharu Sano & THE COYOTE BAND, Tomoyo Harada, Rimi Natsukawa, The Dresscodes, and others, alongside Ezaki’s much-anticipated appearance.
Ezaki’s December 15 concert, titled Tsuki Sayuru (Moonlight Chill), will see him lead a trio ensemble with violinist Shuntaro Tsuneta and cellist Sonoko Muraoka. The performance will blend intricate piano and keyboard arrangements with strings, creating a unique soundscape for the audience.
The guest lineup includes jo0ji and Hana Hope, two rising stars known for their innovative artistry. Both have previously collaborated with Ezaki, who provided arrangements and songwriting for their projects. Also joining the stage is Tsukasa Nagatsuka, the acclaimed vocalist of WONK, making a rare appearance in a new collaborative format with Ezaki.
Marking Ezaki’s final solo performance of 2024, the concert will feature several debut pieces, as he revealed on his X (formerly Twitter) account: “We’ll deliver plenty of debut songs for this special night!”
Fans can expect an unforgettable evening of genre-defying music as L’ULTIMO BACIO continues its tradition of bringing together extraordinary talent during the holiday season.
Tickets are now on sale through various ticketing platforms, though the premium seats, which include one drink and one tapas, are already sold out. A signing session with Ayatake Ezaki is also scheduled after the performance for those who purchase merchandise.
