Dua Lipa is opening a pop-up store at THE PLUG in Harajuku, Tokyo, from November 14 (Thursday) to November 18 (Monday).
This special event coincides with her ‘Radical Optimism Tour’ in Japan, featuring concerts at Saitama Super Arena on November 16 (Saturday) and 17 (Sunday), marking her first visit to Japan in over six years.
The London-born singer has earned three Grammy Awards and seven Brit Awards. Her song “Dance The Night” from the movie Barbie is nominated for Best Song and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 66th Grammy Awards. Her latest album, Radical Optimism, released in May, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, and she headlined the ‘Glastonbury Festival’ in June, solidifying her status as a prominent UK pop icon of the millennial generation.
The pop-up store will offer exclusive tour merchandise not available at the concert venues, with special access and perks for American Express cardholders. Additionally, fans in Tokyo, Seoul, and Singapore will have a chance to purchase PUMA’s “SPEEDCAT” shoes, a favorite of Dua Lipa’s. More details will be announced soon.
The Asian leg of the Radical Optimism Tour kicked off on November 5 (Tuesday) in Singapore. The tour will also stop in Jakarta, Manila, Tokyo, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Seoul. Notably, both Tokyo shows have already sold out.
