Hate to Cheek’s stage play “Harm” will be performed at Za-Koenji 1 in Tokyo from November 22 (Fri.) to 24 (Sun.).
Hate to Cheek performed “Hayaku Zenbu Owatteshimae” in August. “Harm” premiered in 2015 and will be performed again in 2021, and was a finalist for Hokkaido Drama Award in 2019.
The play is based on the Greek tragedy “The Trojan Women”. The tragic end of the people who voluntarily submit to the madness of war, which includes patriarchy, is portrayed as “the worst possible scenario that could happen in our not-so-distant future. The piece is written/directed by Masumi Kayo, the leader of Hate to Cheek. The cast includes Mizuki Kawamura (Hate to Cheek), Ami Tei (Seinendan), Yukino Nakajima, Mizuho Nojima (Seinendan), Rimi Houbo (Compsons), Maria, and Sojin Lee.
Also, after-talks will be held during the performances, with writer/film director Makoto Toda participating in the 2 pm performance on Friday the 22nd, journalist/author Yuji Kitamaru in the 1 pm performance on Saturday the 23rd, playwright/director Tomohiro Maekawa in the 6 pm performance on the same day, novelist Kazuki Sakuraba and writer/critic Fumi Mizukami in the 1 pm performance on Sunday the 24th, and writer/reviewer Aya Mizukami in the 2 pm performance on Friday the 24th. will participate in the 1:00 p.m. performance on Sunday the 24th.

If you close your eyes, it’s as if nothing exists.
The year is 20XX, under the Third World War in a virtual space controlled by the artificial intelligence Athena.
The three sisters of the Majima family live quietly in a house in Tokyo with their mother’s Portrait of the deceased.
It was the summer of that year when Iku’s childhood friend, Kawakami, was killed in the war and his android returned to the city,
The breakdown that people have overlooked in order to keep the peace slowly begins to threaten their daily lives.
