From September 26 (Thursday) to 29 (Sunday), the “2024 Gangnam Festival” will be held in Gangnam District, Seoul, at venues such as COEX Square.
The Gangnam Festival, which takes place every fall, is a free cultural event organized by Gangnam District. Known for being the backdrop of PSY’s global hit “Gangnam Style,” the festival features a diverse range of programs.
A major highlight will be the “Yeongdong-daero K-POP Concert” on September 29 (Sunday), held on the outdoor stage at the east side of COEX and along Yeongdong-daero. The special venue set up by closing off Yeongdong-daero is expected to accommodate 11,000 people. The lineup includes eight K-POP artists: Guckkasten, former ASTRO member Rocky, MAMAMOO’s Solar, Apink, OH MY GIRL, ONEUS, Lee Mujin, and ITZY. The concert will be broadcast live on the Gangnam District Office and 1theK’s YouTube channels. Tickets will be available for pre-booking on the Korean reservation site “TICKETLINK GLOBAL” starting September 10 (Tuesday) at 7 PM, with support in Japanese.
During the event, the special stage at COEX East Square will host daily music festivals with different themes. The K-POP Square around COEX will offer global food trucks, craft beer, and cultural experience zones. Additionally, the fashion area in Apgujeong Rodeo will feature a pet fashion show, collections by renowned Korean and international designers, and a traditional Hanbok fashion show on a specially constructed street runway.
