The cancellation of RUSH BALL 2024, originally scheduled to take place at Izumiotsu Phoenix in Osaka on August 31 (Saturday) and September 1 (Sunday), has been announced.
The event, which was set to mark its 20th year at Izumiotsu Phoenix in 2024, has been a beloved summer festival in the Kansai region. Following the partial cancellation of the first day in 2023 due to thunderstorms and lightning, a revised schedule was arranged to include all the artists who were unable to perform.
On the official website and social media, it was explained that, considering the forecast for Typhoon No. 10, even if the setup was completed overnight, it would not be possible to hold the event on schedule. Therefore, both days of the festival have been canceled. Refund procedures for ticket holders will be announced on September 2 (Monday).

Regarding Typhoon No. 10, which began to develop around August 23, its force has not diminished, and meteorological forecasts consistently predict its path moving from Kyushu to the east. Considering the remaining days and the possibility of the typhoon approaching the Kansai region, it was determined that even if stage setup, including sound, lighting, and infrastructure, was completed overnight, it would not be possible to hold the event on schedule due to the inability to raise the stage roof.
This decision, though difficult, means that both days of the festival will be canceled. This decision was made with an understanding that the typhoon’s path and intensity can change daily.
We deeply apologize to the audiences who were looking forward to the event, the people of Izumiotsu, and the artists and staff who had prepared their schedules for this day. While we have continually sought ways to hold the event through challenges like COVID-19 and heavy rain in the past, we were unable to overcome the current natural and weather conditions, which is extremely disappointing. Given the inability to ensure the safety of local staff and nearby facilities, we could not proceed with any alternative measures.
