DYGL has announced the release of their latest EP, Cut the Collar, on October 4, 2024, alongside a nationwide tour, their first in two years.
This EP marks DYGL’s first release of 2024 and their first EP since 2016’s Don’t Know Where It Is. The new EP features a dynamic and urgent transformation, including the punk track “Drag,” known for its solid and raw edge, along with three other tracks recently performed in their live shows.
The recording for Cut the Collar was handled by Hiroshi Ikeda at HMC Studio, following their 2023 singles “Acervation” and “Shadow.” Mastering was done by Joe Laporta at the renowned Sterling Sound studio in New York. Additionally, Kento Suzuki from Never Young Beach, who has collaborated with DYGL for several years, joins the recording as a drummer for the first time. The cover art and tour flyers were designed by Jack from the Hong Kong band Arches, with whom DYGL has previously collaborated.
To celebrate the release, DYGL will embark on a nationwide tour starting at BEAT STATION in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka on October 30, 2024, and concluding at WWW X in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 4, 2024. Pre-sale tickets are available until August 28, 2024, at 23:59.
