Waseda University UBC’s music event, ‘UBC Summer-Jam ’24,’ will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at WWW X in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Founded in 1953, Waseda University UBC is an officially recognized student organization that plans live events. They operate independently without any support from the university, focusing on “sharing good music,” “establishing new live formats,” and “low prices.”
The event will feature performances by DYGL, Mega Shinnosuke, and yonige.
DYGL was formed in 2012 by a club at Meiji Gakuin University. In 2023, the band toured the United States, including an appearance at Treefrot Music Fest 2023.
Mega Shinnosuke began creating original music in 2017. He composes, writes lyrics, arranges music, does artwork, and produces video production all by himself, and will perform at “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL” in 2021 and “SUMMER SONIC” in 2022. He has also provided music for Masaki Sugata, Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, and others.
yonige is a girls’ rock band formed in 2013. They are planning to hold a solo live concert in Korea on July 12 (Fri.), and are expanding their activities.
Tickets for “UBC summer-jam’24” will be available on LivePocket from June 27 (Thu.) at 20:00.
