The third wave of performers for the music festival “Borofesta 2024,” which will be held over three days—Saturday, November 2, Sunday, November 3 (a public holiday), and Monday, November 4 (a public holiday)—at Kyoto’s KBS Hall and Club METRO, has been announced.
Borofesta, a Kyoto-based music festival that has been running since 2002, is themed around “connecting people through music, and music through people.” It’s known as a long-standing indie festival organized by its founders and more than 100 volunteer staff. Additionally, a pre-event titled “Nanoboro 2024,” held in a circuit-style format centered around Kyoto’s livehouse nano, will take place on Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1.
The newly announced lineup includes 27 acts performing during both the day and night sessions. On Saturday, November 2, Helsinki Lambda Club, Ai wa Zubōn, ULTRA CUB, memetoour, Mana Mako Shin, 171, and PONTZUKUPIYA will take the stage. On Sunday, November 3, the lineup includes JYOCHO, Sundae May Club, kurayamisaka, Texas 3000, THE BOYS & GIRLS, Suiheisen, and No Fun. On Monday, November 4, KING BROTHERS, Limited Express (has gone?), DENIMS, Yūtai Communicationz, Kudaranai Ichinichi, downt, and Tengoku Chūsha will perform. Additionally, an all-night event will be held on Saturday, November 2, at Kyoto’s Club METRO, featuring Seiho, Telematic Visions, MIYABI, BIG Matsumura, Shunpuri, and mogran’BAR.
Tickets are currently on sale through various ticket agencies. The official website is also accepting applications for volunteer staff.
