Kenshi Yonezu has collaborated with Uniqlo’s graphic T-shirt brand UT. The “Kenshi Yonezu UT” collection will be released in mid-September at Uniqlo stores worldwide and online.
This is the second collaboration between Kenshi Yonezu and UT since 2020. The collection features T-shirts designed with artwork from tracks on Yonezu’s latest album, LOST CORNER. The collection includes designs inspired by the theme songs from the films ‘The Boy and the Heron’ (“Spinning Globe”) and ‘Shin Ultraman’ (“M87”), the anime ‘Chainsaw Man’ (“KICK BACK”), the game “FINAL FANTASY XVI” (“Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing”), and a commercial song for PlayStation (“POP SONG”). Additionally, it features six T-shirts with designs based on the cover art of his fifth album, STRAY SHEEP.
Notably, the design for “Spinning Globe” uses original layout artwork by Studio Ghibli’s Hayao Miyazaki. Illustrations for “M87” featuring Ultraman, “KICK BACK” with Chainsaw Man, and “Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazin” featuring the wolf Torugaru, were all drawn by Yonezu himself.
Each item is priced at ¥1,990. The shirts are unisex and available in sizes ranging from XS to 4XL.
