The second batch of artists for “FAHDAY2024,” which will be held on Saturday, October 12 throughout the Tomakomai Civic Hall in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, has been announced.
The event is the brainchild of Tomakomai local NOT WONK’s Shuhei Kato (Vo / Gt), and is described as an “exchange market of expression. The event will be held jointly with live houses, clubs, bars, cafes, and izakayas operating in Tomakomai, with the motive of creating a place to bring Tomakomai’s culture to as many people as possible, together with the local people who have been preserving the culture of Tomakomai.
The newly announced lineup includes performers for the 1600-capacity main hall “Area_1,” the ambient room “Area_2,” and the outdoor space “Area_3.” In “Area_1,” Odottebakari no Kuni has been revealed as the third act, joining NOT WONK and Ayano Kaneko. “Area_2” will feature a sound installation by WHITELIGHT, who will also oversee the venue’s acoustics. Newly confirmed for “Area_3” are DJ Marie Kimishima and DJ FANTA. Additionally, seven food vendors have been added, including sushi restaurant Sushi Taka, known for fresh seafood from Tomakomai Port, and Korean street food provider Nola no Kimbap.
Tickets for this event, for which only “Area_1” will be charged, will be available until the second lottery on Sunday, June 23, and early-bird tickets will be the last to be accepted. The lowest-priced ticket, the “FAHDAY MEETING TICKET,” was once sold out, but additional tickets are now on sale at co-sponsoring stores in Tomakomai.
“FAHDAY 2024” is currently being crowdfunded on CAMPFIRE until July 19 (Fri.), with returns including a documentary video of the event and goods printed with the key visual.
