The immersive exhibition “Monet & Friends Alive” will make its first appearance in Japan and will be held at Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall in Tokyo from Friday, July 12 to Sunday, September 29.
The exhibition is a space that offers an immersive experience combining classical music and the latest immersive technology, with bold brush strokes by impressionist painters such as Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro, who were active from the mid-19th to the early 20th century, projected on a giant screen. The year 2024 will also mark the 150th anniversary of the first “Impressionist Exhibition” held in Paris, France.
Grande Experiences, an Australian company involved in the planning and production of large-scale exhibitions and immersive cultural experiences around the world, was responsible for the production and production of the exhibition. Grande Experiences’ proprietary SENSORY4™ system was used to create an immersive multi-screen environment at the exhibition. The company is also presenting “Van Gogh Alive,” an immersive exhibition in 100 cities around the world, including Japan, and will open its 101st exhibition in Fukuoka on Saturday, June 15 at the Mitsukoshi Gallery of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi Department Store.
Tickets for “Monet & Friends Alive” have already sold out for “July Early Bird” tickets, which allow admission only during the month of July, with advance tickets going on sale on Thursday, June 13, and date/time-specific tickets on Monday, July 8. It was also announced that Ryohei Abe of Snow Man has been appointed as the official ambassador. He will be presenting the appeal of the exhibition from his own unique perspective.
