The first lineup of artists for “FAHDAY2024”, taking place on Saturday, October 12, at the Tomakomai Citizens Hall in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, has been announced.
Conceived by Shūhei Katō (Vo/Gt) of NOT WONK, who hails from Tomakomai, this event is described as a “marketplace of expression.” The event aims to create a space to share the culture of Tomakomai with a broader audience, collaborating with local venues such as live houses, clubs, bars, cafes, and izakayas that continue to preserve the city’s cultural heritage.
The newly announced lineup includes performers for the 1,600-capacity main hall “Area_1” and the outdoor “Area_3.” In “Area_1,” which previously announced NOT WONK as a performer, Ayano Kaneko has been revealed as the second artist. For the outdoor “Area_3,” DJ Yogurt and DJ SADA are confirmed to perform. Additionally, IZAKAYA -SOU-, Ouchi-Coffee, and four other food vendors will be present, along with official bars managed by CLUB ROOTS, Bar Old, and Bar Base.
The event’s main visual has also been unveiled. The artwork was created by collage artist and graphic designer Kosuke Kawamura, known for his work on Vaundy’s “CHAINSAW BLOOD” album cover and as a creative director for UNIQLO’s “UT” line. The visual features deconstructed and reimagined landscapes of Tomakomai, photographed by Tomoki Kuwajima.
Tickets for “FAHDAY2024,” with only “Area_1” being ticketed, are currently available through a lottery for the earliest early bird tickets on Ticket Pia until Sunday, May 26, at 23:59. “FAHDAY MEETING TICKET” is also on sale at partnering locations in Tomakomai.
Additionally, “FAHDAY2024” is running a crowdfunding campaign on CAMPFIRE until Friday, July 19. Rewards include documentary footage of the event day and merchandise printed with the event’s key visual.
