The fifth performer for “SUMMER SONIC 2024,” which will be held simultaneously on August 17 (Sat.) and 18 (Sun.) in Tokyo at ZOZO Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Chiba and in Osaka at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Suita, Osaka, has been announced.
The event, commonly known as “Summer Sonic,” drew approximately 215,000 people in 2023, with BLUR, Kendrick Lamar, YOASOBI, and others performing as headliners on stage. So far, MÅNESKIN, BRING ME THE HORIZON, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, LIL YACHTY, SUPER BEAVER, Sheep Literature, imase, ATEEZ, and others had been announced to perform.
Now, RIIZE’s appearances on both the Tokyo and Osaka stages have been announced as the fifth installment. PUNPEE, Tempalay, FIJI BLUE, MINA OKABE, LANA, adieu, Ayumu Imazu, BLUE ENCOUNT, STUTS, and never young beach will perform on the Tokyo stage only, Paledusk, and CVLTE. It was also announced that Dai Hirai’s performance date will be changed to August 17 (Sat) in Tokyo and August 18 (Sun) in Osaka.
In order to ease the morning lineups, it has been decided that a limited number of numbered “Samasohni Asaichi Numbered Tickets” will be sold from around July for the Tokyo venue only, allowing entry to the stage area at the time the doors open. The stage allocation will be announced soon.
