The fourth batch of performers for “SUMMER SONIC 2024,” which will be held simultaneously on August 17 (Sat.) and 18 (Sun.) in Tokyo at ZOZO Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Chiba and in Osaka at Expo ’70 Memorial Park in Suita, Osaka, were announced.
The event, commonly known as “Summer Sonic,” drew approximately 215,000 people in 2023, with BLUR, Kendrick Lamar, YOASOBI, and others performing as headliners on stage. MÅNESKIN, BRING ME THE HORIZON, LIL YACHTY, SUPER BEAVER, Sheep Literature, imase, and ATEEZ had previously been announced to perform.
Announced to perform this year are Christina Aguilera, BE:FIRST, IVE, ZEROBASEONE, LAUREN SPENCER SMITH, BAND-MAID, and CHANMINA, BOYNEXTDOOR, eight groups from Japan and abroad. Christina Aguilera will make her first visit to Japan in 17 years. BAND-MAID, CHANMINA, and BOYNEXTDOOR will perform only in Tokyo.
Tickets are now on sale on a first-come, first-served basis for 2-DAY tickets, 1-DAY tickets for each day, and official advance tickets with special offers for platinum tickets. The sales will end when the number of tickets reaches the planned number, and general tickets will be on sale from May 25 (Sat.).
