KCON JAPAN 2024 Stage Plan Revealed, Boasting Record 46 Teams

The stage plan for “KCON JAPAN 2024,” which will be held on May 10 (Fri.), 11 (Sat.), and 12 (Sun.) at Makuhari Messe and ZOZO Marine Stadium in Chiba, has been released.

KCON” is one of the world’s largest K-Culture festivals held annually by CJ ENM since 2012. In 2024, the slogan will be changed to “K-Pop Fan & Artist Festival,” and the festival will be held not only at Makuhari Messe, where it was held in 2023, but also at ZOZO Marine Stadium. A total of 46 teams will perform over the three days, the largest number in history.

The main show “M COUNTDOWN STAGE” will be held at ZOZO Marine Stadium on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th, featuring popular Korean artists such as Red Velvet, Kep1er, NCT WISH, and YENA (Choi Yena), as well as Japanese artists INI, NiziU, JO1, ME:I and other groups consisting mainly of Japanese members. Also in the special lineup are CHA EUN-WOO, a solo singer and actor who is a member of ASTRO, and B.D.U., a group born through Mnet’s “Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival” and a girl group that is about to make its debut. IS:SUE, a girl group that is still under wraps, will make their debut. Other special stages are also scheduled, including a “Re-Meeted STAGE” that will cover legendary songs known to all K-pop fans, which created a frenzy at the previous “KCON HONG KONG 2024”.

At Makuhari Messe, the “KCON STAGE” will seat approximately 10,000 with a rich lineup for three days. 2024 will be a multi-stage event, allowing fans to choose the stage of their choice. There will be performances of previously unperformed recorded songs, unit stages, and performances that showcase the individuality of each artist. Artists such as BOYNEXTDOOR, DXTEEN, INI, TWS, Kep1er, ME:I, NCT WISH, and JO1 are scheduled to perform.

The “MEET & GREET,” which was previously open to paying spectators, will now be open to the entire audience, further expanding the contact point between fans and artists. In addition, a food lounge based on the concept of “K-FOOD Yashijang (night market)” will also be set up, offering a variety of ways to enjoy the event. The event will be broadcast live on KCON’s official YouTube channel and TVING, a Korean video streaming service.
